13/365- My owner’s manual

January 15, 2011

Most people have owner’s manuals for appliances, their car, their camera, etc. I have one for my brain, which I find hilarious. I have a little book I have to keep with me, with my license so if I’m ever taken to the hospital, they will have it. It’s the book that came with my shunt, which was placed January 9, 2007….which is the post I was going to make that day until we had beautiful snow.

VP shunt owner's manual

It contains important information like brand, that it is programmable, the current setting, location and my neurosurgeon’s contact information. So, I guess I’ll just deal with the extra space it takes up in my wallet.
